4Made for Samsung TV's
By Juan Mendez
Well it took me a while to figure out which way is the best way to install the unit, USE THE SUPPLY HDMI CABLE , do not use the opical wire, Why , if you use the HDMI you can control the volume of the sound bar with your tv remote. play with sound adjustments it will pay off.

5Excellent Mid-Range Soundbar
By MediaMan
I install equipment and this Soundbar really does the trick for a small to medium size room and a mid-range budget. Easy to set up and install. Great appearance. Amazing "surround" sound right out of the box. Put this one in a client's bedroom and removed their low end 5.1 set-up (they like the bar sound better and classy appearance). Would work great for living rooms where you can't install a full surround set-up.

3A Bit Pricey For What You Get
By Larry Trask
If you are looking for surround sound, this is not for you. It has a mode it calls "3D Sound," which tries to emulate surround, and it's okay, but true surround is worlds different so if that's what you want, this product is not for you. However, if you don't have an easy way to hide the many, many cables required for a wired surround system, or you don't have the room, or you don't care that much about surround and you're just trying to make your flat panel sound better, this will do the job. The sound is very good but not great (see below).Other reviews have touched on the difficulty of getting this to work with your TV/DVD player so that you don't have to add yet another remote to your collection. You have to futz around a bit trying different configurations, but I was able to get it to work with my non-Samsung TV and Blu-Ray player just fine. The sound is good, but I was a bit disappointed in the subwoofer. Even at its highest setting (+6) you're not going to rattle the pictures on your walls. Some may not care about this, but I wanted a bit more bass response, especially from a $400+ unit. The sub is mostly plastic and feels cheap, unlike the bar which, though it's mostly plastic too, is well-manufactured and gives the feel and appearance of a quality product.Pro: This significantly improved the quality of sound in my home-theater system. It's an attractive unit, the sub is wireless, it's fairly easy to install, configure and operate, and it's minimally invasive in terms of wires and clutter. It also gives you a net of one more HDMI input to your flat panel.Con: Despite the claims it makes about its "3D sound", this is nothing like surround sound, at least in my setup. If you want surround, look elsewhere. Similarly, if you want big, booming bass, this is not for you.Bottom Line: If this unit was $200 I'd recommend it to anyone who knows what a soundbar unit is and knows that's what they want. At $400+, I have to believe there are better choices available.
