AudioSource AMP 210 90-Watt Stereo 250-Watt Mono Power Amplifier (Black)

Product Description

Our company started designing and building amplifiers over 20 years ago. During this time, we've continually refined our products to balance power, sound clarity and long-lasting performance. The AudioSource AMP 210 delivers 90 watts of stereo power at <0.1% THD and 250 watts of mono power at <0.2% THD. All of our amps – AMP 102, AMP 110, AMP 210, and AMP 310 are rack-mount ready, full bandwidth capable, bridgeable for incredible mono power, and feature two zones of output with A/B or A+B speaker selection, providing a repertoire of flexible configurations. They boast a robust power supply and bipolar output devices. Front panel diagnostic LED displays show clipping to prevent over-driving your speakers. With second source override our amps automatically access secondary sources such as MP3 players, satellite radio, PA systems, paging, game consoles, phone calls or even doorbells. Speaker level inputs add another dimension to the usefulness of these fine amps; allowing for installation where only speaker wires are present to carry the signal information. For high power applications, the AMP 210 and AMP 310 are designed so users can set a safe maximum level using the rear panel master level controls, then make fine adjustments on the front panel. All AudioSource amplifiers are easy to install and are torture tested during development to ensure years of use. Our engineers are available to answer your questions about the set-up and use of all of our products- just call us! We answer every inquiry M-F 7am to 5:30pm PST. Experience you can trust, performance you can count on.

5AMP 210
By TDD
I have been looking for an amplifier to drive two pairs of exterior speakers from the zone B output of my receiver, when I stumbled across the AMP 210. I took a chance and ordered it, figuring the worst that would happen would be to have to send it back. But it does exactly what I wanted, with far better sound reproduction than I expected from this very reasonably priced amp. My outdoor speakers have never come close to sounding as good as they do now. This amp is rugged, simple, extremely easy to set up, delivers very accurate sound, and at high volume levels exhibits no signs of stress or distortion.Be careful when looking at this amp, it does not independently control the volume from zero to 100 percent, the volume knob is labeled "vol trim", the actual primary volume is controlled by the level of input. For my application this is fine because my receiver zone B output varies with the volume control of the receiver. But if you're looking for an amp that completely independently controls the volume level (in other words, the zone B or pre-out volume of your receiver is a fixed level), this one won't work for you.But for my application it's perfect, I'm glad I took the chance.

5Excellent Performer
By J. Erwin
Great value and flawless performance now for six months. I have it wired in with a pair of Polk RTI A7 floor standing speakers and Sonos ZP 90.

5A solid high power amp
By B. Boatright
This amp is a solid performer with remarkably good construction and configuration options for the price paid. Even though I bought it to drive all of my outdoor speakers and didn't have high performance expectations beyond simply being able to supply a lot of power for multiple speakers and long wire runs, the quality of the sound at high output power was a very pleasant surprise. Peeking through the ventilation openings on the unit showed really good layout of components that makes full use of the 19" rack mountable chassis to dissipate heat well (no scrimping on PC board design). The unit provides multiple ways to adjust/limit output volume and has 12 V trigger and auto-on based on two input sources (one can override the other automatically which is useful for paging systems). I measured standby power consumption (waiting for 12 V trigger or auto-on audio source) at about 4 W which is reasonable in my opinion (though it could be better).I've only had the unit for two weeks so time will tell if it is as well made as it appears, but I am definitely pleased with the purchase.
