AudioSource AMP 310 150-Watt Stereo 450-Watt Mono Power Amplifier (Black)

Product Description

Our company started designing and building amplifiers over 20 years ago. During this time, we've continually refined our products to balance power, sound clarity and long-lasting performance. The AudioSource AMP 310 delivers 150 watts of stereo power and 450 watts of mono power at <0.1% THD. All of our amps – AMP 102, AMP 110, AMP 210, and AMP 310 are rack-mount ready, full bandwidth capable, bridgeable for incredible mono power, and feature two zones of output with A/B or A+B speaker selection, providing a repertoire of flexible configurations. They boast a robust power supply and bipolar output devices. Front panel diagnostic LED displays show clipping to prevent over-driving your speakers. With second source override our amps automatically access secondary sources such as MP3 players, satellite radio, PA systems, paging, game consoles, phone calls or even doorbells. Speaker level inputs add another dimension to the usefulness of these fine amps; allowing for installation where only speaker wires are present to carry the signal information. For high power applications, the AMP 210 and AMP 310 are designed so users can set a safe maximum level using the rear panel master level controls, then make fine adjustments on the front panel. All AudioSource amplifiers are easy to install and are torture tested during development to ensure years of use. Our engineers are available to answer your questions about the set-up and use of all of our products- just call us! We answer every inquiry M-F 7am to 5:30pm PST. Experience you can trust, performance you can count on.

5serious power and audio clarity for a very friendly price
By Erik A. Berger
I am in the process of remodeling my house and have 20 definitive technologies UIW/63a speakers, and sub 10/10 (OSD amp) and a pioneer VSX-1021k preamp.this amp was purchased to drive a speaker selector to power a total of 10 out of the 20 speakers on my main level, unfortunately the speaker selector ruined the sound quality so now it drives two pairs of speakers directly. one set are Klipsch AW-650 speakers and the other set are Klipsch RB-61 I speakers.this amp gets its feed from pre amplified RCA Zone 2 outs on the Pioneer VSX-1021K, and when activated this amp puts out plenty of power, and by that I don't just mean it can get painfully loud without any problems (like distortion or inconsistent sound output levels, but it has power certainly capable of blowing these rather stout speakers a couple of times over with power to spare.at 4 ohms per channel, this amp pushes 225 watts. not peak. RMS. that is just ludicrous levels and I love it!I got this brand new $250 on warehouse deals, I couldn't be more please with the build quality or how it sounds. of note, it also weighs 41 pounds. :)now onto the only two things I don't like about it.1.) it has a trigger, and auto on which both work well, however the 'on' position doesn't exist which annoys me. the auto-on works sometimes, but the threshold of sound to keep the amp on is above regular easy listening levels which means the amp constantly kicks on and off when at low volume. I fixed this by just attaching a 12V trigger to my pre-amp, but this can also be done by purchasing a cheap-o 12v wall wart power adapter and soldering it to a mono 1/8" minijack. problem solved, but they should have a functional option to keep it ON all the time!2.) its not great looking, the red lights look really cheesy compared to its brother product made by OSD which looks down-right high end with the same internals. the red vertical bars can be turned on and off via a switch on the back, but the red circle and two color changing LEDs beside it can not be turned off when operating. they're bright and cheap looking.over-all I'm very VERY satisfied and would absolutely recommend this.

5Awesome audiosource 310 amp
By terry gonzalez
This audiosurce Amp 310 took my HT receiver to the next level. With full power at all ranges. Right now it is powering a set of Cerwin vega e315 tower speakers (300 watts rms each) as my mains and I'll tell ya what it delivers what the spec says. Clear, clean sound with plenty of bass, you cannot complain at this price range. The best thing about this amp is that you do not need a rca output on your receiver. This will take a direct speaker line input. So you don't have to go out and spend alot of money on another receiver! This amp has a sleek look and plain and simple. It has nice lights on the front but not overwhelming.I have it hooked up in a 4 ohm setting so I can get most power out of the audiosource 310 this thing puts out (450x1 rms at 4 ohms). The deisgn seems very good and heavy! I think it is 40 lbs. All and all I love this amp. I would refer a friend or buy another 1 for myself! So go ahead knock urself out with the Audiosource 310 amplifier.

5Competent amplifier
By F. J. G. Roa
My Audiosource 310 arrived a few days ago. The seller packed it well. Removed it from the box and hooked it up to receive pre-amp signals coming from my NAD 320BEE integrated amplifier. My speakers are a pair of floorstanding Wharfedale 8.4's. I have not really burned in the 310 yet, but off the cuff, for the first few hours, the sound was clear, forward, accurate and uncolored. Compared to the about 60-75 watts RMS (6 ohms) that my NAD amplifier section used to put out, the estimated 160 watts (6 ohms) the Audiosource 310 delivered really made my speakers sing. The music did lack some warmth (unlike the MOSFET amps which, to me, are very musical) but I cannot complain. Buyers will be happy to note that the Audiosource 310 reveals all the nuances in the musical material. The lights in the front face can be just a wee bit tacky but they are not deal breakers. I listened to jazz, pop and classical and everything sounded great. There was no congestion in the presentation of each of the musical pieces I listened to. I could hear all the voices and instruments in the various musical pieces clearly. The 310 made Tony Bennett and Barbara Streisand appear live in my living room singing "Smile" and Dave Grusin's "Fascinating Rhythm" became so immersing. I especially liked the way the 310 delivered the music written by Bach for the church pipe organ. It was like I was actually in the church filled with rapturous organ music. I particularly like the fact that the 310 reminds me that I was pushing it's capabilities too far since the LED clipping lights began to blink red when I hit the amp's threshold. This amp is definitely a "good buy". There are probably many other amps that cost twice or three times as much that would offer more musicality but at this price point of $400, Audiosource 310 is my best bet. Am now contemplating on auditioning a nice "musically warm" pre-amp (maybe a tube) to see if the 310 will be transparent enough to allow the pre-amp's musical warmth to be passed along to the speakers. If it does, then that would be my musical elysium. Please do consider buying this amplifier. It is most evidently built with high quality and its performance will not disappoint you.
