Acoustic Audio HD728 Speaker system

At first glance out of the box these speakers look very impressive. However, the so called easy mounting features have a lot to be desired when you start to install them. For one, there is no paperwork at all with these speakers so you have no templates or dimensions for the exact hole sizes for each speaker so you have to measure each one as best you can to cut them in. When you do, the mechanisms on the speakers which are supposed to make installation quick and easy work VERY poorly and lead to a lot of problems and because they are cheap plastic they strip out easily if they work as designed or at all. The whole thing leads to a very difficult installation which will take a novice or homeowner hours to accomplish. Since the speakers mount poorly you will invariably get a lot of vibration and poor sound quality from the loose fitting speakers. I gave this item three stars because the quality of the materials used in making the speakers themselves and because they look good (if you can get them mounted using the included method).

These speakers are a great value for dollar. They work great in the environment that I am using them. If you are on a budget and are looking for something to get rid of the clutter in the living room, you can't go wrong with this package.
