Sounded & Looked Great But Its Good Looks Are All That Remain

My initial glowing review is below, but having had this product for 18 months now, my opinion of it has greatly diminished and would not recommend that anyone purchase it. I own multiple Samsung products; however, my experience with this system has made be averse to ever purchasing the Samsung brand again. It looks great (and sounds great on those rare occasions when it works), but that's about all. Key problems: (1) the software is cumbersome to use; (2) the device regularly loses its wifi connection despite the presence of a very strong signal in my home; and (3) the DVD/CD player skips whether playing DVDs or music. Although I knew the software was cumbersome from the get-go, I figured it was an issue I could live with as all other aspects met my needs. That said, the other problems starting recurring regularly, all of which are central to why one owns a multipurpose system. On those fronts, the system has been an utter failure.Initial Review:We wanted a home theater system for our new apartment that was both functional and stylish. The Samsung HT-C7530W fit both requirements. As our television was also a Samsung, the two systems meshed seamlessly. That said, the owner's manual was a tad vague on some fronts; however, through trial and error, we were able to get everything functioning. It should be noted that the rear surround sound speakers are only "somewhat" wireless. They receive a wireless signal from the receiver, but still require a remote electrical connection to provide power. The sound is particularly superb when viewing high-definition (e.g. Blue Ray) DVDs and delivers fairly decent output as an audio amp for playing the iPod and audio CDs. That said, living in an apartment makes it unlikely that we'll ever push the limits of its capability. All said and done, it's an feature-laden system that achieves both quality sound and a sophisticated design aesthetic at a reasonable price point.

Stylish with good sound quality

Very stylish with good sound quality , I didn't have any problem playing blue-ray or audio cd , the only thing I don't like about it is that I need to reset the wireless LAN sometimes to reconnect it to the Internet but not a big deal for me .

This surround system has horrible software and does not play properly many of the new Bluray DVDs and music CDs. The surround sound itself is pretty good, but this is of limited importance when you cannot play what you want to listen or watch. Samsung, please release a comprehensive software update soon!
