iFinity Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Speaker - Bundle 1 Black

Product Description

Enjoy crystal-clear music everywhere in your house and outdoors without running wires. Set up speakers in each room of your house or add some music by your swimming pool.

The iFinity wireless transmitter streams your favorite music uncompressed in full CD quality to up to four wireless speakers per transmitter throughout your home. Add more transmitters to create additional zones.

Inside the wireless speaker are two efficient ultra-low-distortion power amplifiers (bi amplifier). One amplifier drives the speaker's woofer, the other amplifier drives the high-frequency tweeter. The speakers deliver up to 80 Watts of clean RMS power without breaking a sweat. Shake your walls with the powerful bass.

This bundle includes one wireless speaker and one iFinity transmitter. Buy as many additional speakers as you need.

The speakers can be installed up to 600 feet from the transmitter. Unlike Bluetooth, music is sent uncompressed at full CD quality to up to four speakers throughout your home.

The transmitter offers an amplified speaker cable audio input for connection to an AV receiver, a line-level audio input for connecting to an MP3 player or any other unamplified source and also has a built-in iPod cradle for plugging in your iPod or iPhone.

Each wireless speaker can be paired with any transmitter simply by pushing a button. The wireless signal is highly resistant to wireless interference from other devices. It uses advanced adaptive frequency hopping and error correction.

5Love it!

I live in a fairly old housing community and there is no existing wiring for speakers throughout my house. I was looking at different options for wireless music but was turned off by many options due to the high price tag. It seems that a lot of solutions have all sorts of bells and whistles that nobody really needs which seems to drive up the cost of those systems.I accidentally stumbled upon the Amphony iFinity line during my research. These products seemed to offer exactly what I was looking for. It seems to have a robust wireless protocol, good range and I can set up different transmitters throughout my house and have different audio zones by pairing each of the wireless speakers to any of the transmitters.I didn't find a lot of reviews about the iFinity line and so I just bought the most basic kit which includes one transmitter base and one wireless speaker. There are also other bundles with 2 speakers. I think each transmitter supports up to 4 wireless speakers. But I wanted to test these speakers out before purchasing any additional speakers. The cost of the system I got was a great deal less than those other wireless audio systems that I looked at during my research. Also, I used to own a Recoton wireless speaker which had terrible sound quality and so I had quite a few reservations about purchasing this set.I received the set yesterday. After unpacking the speaker I immediately liked the looks of the product. It is solidly built, not heavy by any means and is rather stylish. But I was much more curious about how it would perform after having had such a bad experience with the other wireless speakers that I owned. I hooked the transmitter base up to power and plugged in my iPhone into the iPod cradle. I set the iPhone to a playlist with several tunes of Pop music. Then I fired up the speaker. There was no sound coming from the speaker which made me think that I had received a bad product. But then I realized that I had to pair the speaker with the transmitter by pushing a small button. The pairing only took a few seconds. After that the speaker came alive.I am really impressed with the sound quality of this speaker. I have a pair of Sony bookshelf speakers in my living room. The sound coming from the Amphony wireless is indistinguishable from the sound coming from my Sony speakers. I would even say that the bass of the Amphony is a bit more solid than the Sony. I never expected a wireless speaker to deliver such amazing sound. If I didn't know that the speaker was wireless I would not be able to tell simply by listening to it. No hissing, no crackling, just pure sound. The speaker has a tone control which I used to reduce the treble a bit to bring it more in line with the midrange. After my initial test I then took the speaker around my house to see how far the little transmitter would be able to send my music. I started out in my kitchen, then went to my upstairs bedroom and finally went outside to my backyard. I could not find any spot around the house or outside where the speaker wouldn't work. Regardless of whether the speaker was close to the transmitter base or outside the house, it would play without any hickups. Note also that I have Wifi around my house and my iPhone has Bluetooth. I think Amphony has done a great job with the wireless transmission. The old Recoton speakers I owned would only work up to 100 ft line of sight and often crackle whenever someone switched on a device. What I like also is that I can crank up the speaker really loud and the sound won't distort. This is great because I can use this speaker outside my house where I have lots of noise and then crank it up. The only drawback is that the speaker needs a power outlet. This is not a problem since I have power in every room of my house but having a battery option may have been a nice feature for using the speaker outdoors. I realize though that I would never be able to get 80 Watts out of this speaker if I had it running off batteries. I checked some other speakers that use batteries and they all offer 5 Watts at the most with fresh batteries. So I don't think not having battery power is such a great deal.BTW, the transmitter base is tiny. If you have some long wires connected to the transmitter you will have to be careful not to pull it off the table. I haven't tested the other audio inputs but there is an input that accepts speaker cables which I suppose are for using the wireless speakers as rear speakers in connection with an AV receiver. There is also a line audio input that connects to anything else such as MP4 players. What I am planning now is to get one or more additional wireless speakers (without a transmitter). I will put one outside my house and use the other one together with the speaker I already own as stereo speakers for my master bedroom. I am not really concerened about putting the speaker outside since it appears to be water resistant. Later I may add a second transmitter which I will hook up to my Dish Network satellite receiver to stream commercial free music channels through my house. This will become my second audio zone transmitter.
