Great Speakers (WOW)
By Blazerboy
These were my first speakers I actually spent a decent amount of money on. My setup,Bic-F12Sony STR-DE595 Receiver ( A tad bit old but works great )Sony F6000'sSony B-1000'sSony Center Channel, cant remember the model number its on here for $70Technical's, I have it hooked up with 12 gauge wire, runs sweet even at max volume no distortion, and quite loud, dont expect to blow your walls down but you definitely will be able to hear these baby's throughout your home if you hook them up right and turn them up enough. Quality is amazing and the looks...people seem to feel that they are ugly, but I love the way they look.Anyways...put it simply these speakers are sensitive, I can hear everything with my receiver on 5 (max is 70)...thats new for me...awesome, the bass is lacking a tiny bit, but I have a sub so it makes no difference. These speakers are amazing, I prefer listening to these 2 with my center without the rest of the sound system...than listening to it with the surrounds and the floor speakers. I will never again go cheap on speakers, these speakers are simply amazing, I have decided to spend another $500 and go with JBL floorstanding ones too, (Either the Studio 190's or the ES80's.) Get rid of the Sony's slowly but surely as they are not good enough for me. Wow JBL good job, I am simply impressed...and you have a long time customer from me now.

Great speakers for an even greater price
By T. Smalls
I purchased these speakers because I was looking for some speakers to replace my old outdated Pioneers. Originally, I only bought these because of their price and I know that JBL usually makes decent products. I was pleasantly surprised to find them to be both powerful and rich. For sub-$200 you can't beat these.

If you like bass, its not for you.
By M. Kaz
It might be ok for people that listen to quite music at low volumes. I used it as rear speakers yet the booming bass was unacceptalbe. It should have been designed for high and mid frequencis and filtered out the low frequencies.
