I love this product!
By Matt Newcomb
I got this product about a year ago and I love it. I live in a small condo and it controls everything from my TV, BluRay player, cable box, 5.1 Receiver, Air Conditioner, Ceiling fan and even my lights (if you get IR switches & outlets). I love that I can program multiple actions with one push of a virtual button on a completely customizable layout. I also got one for my mom who doesn't quite know how to use multiple remotes for all her devices. Now, it is simple, easy and controlled from her smart phone. Now she can turn on her lights and TV before she walks in the door. The companion app is constantly updated. Yes, sometimes there are issues and crashes, which are fixed VERY quickly. I can honestly say I've never had any major issues and I can't complain about minor inconveniences that are inherent in ANY product. This is a great little device and I haven't come across anything like this that does what is does with such ease of use. Once you learn how to program devices and multi-purpose buttons, you'll need this rather than hunt down all your old remotes.

Works great!
By C. Gendron
Had this device connected to my wi-fi network and controlling the basic commands of my home theater system in about 30 minutes. Highly recommend watching the video tutorials on the ThinkFlood website, makes it much easier. After about 3 hours I had total control of each device in my system (5 pieces). Once the RedEye is configured it's easy to control from any "i" device, just open the RedEye app and it automatically syncs.Again, before attempting the set this up, watch the tutorials. If you can't figure something out, read the manual. All the information is there. This is an amazing product, but it's not plug and play. Take you time, exercise a little paitence...you'll be extremley happy in the end.

Would rate 10 stars if I could :-)

I can't say enough good things about this device. I did get off to a rough start due to a software bug in the iPhone app, but once that was corrected, it has performed flawlessly. If I described in detail just what I think of Thinkflood's customer service, you'd think that I worked for the company or had some other ulterior motive -- they were EXCEPTIONAL. Sarah, the tech who handled the my problem reports re: the software bug, typically responded to my emails within 15 to 30 minutes and always provided more than enough information to guide me.I'm a computer programmer and bought the device with the intention of writing my own control application for Android. So far it's been a great decision. The online documentation is fantastic. Whether or not you're a programmer, YOU NEED TO TAKE THE TIME TO READ IT. You *can* get up and running using only the Quick Start guide, but this device is complex enough that, to get the most out of it, you'll need to understand what you're dealing with.I found the available device database to be very complete -- the built-in search feature correctly suggested the correct matches for my 2 Samsung TVs, an older satellite receiver, and even my iMac (it's fun to sit on the couch and control my Mac from my iPhone). I did find a few missing commands but the "learn" feature works perfectly, though I did make the mistake I believe may be common from reading the few poor reviews -- the device only learns infrared commands... using a wireless remote will lead to a lot of frustration before you figure out what you're doing wrong :-)One of my favorite features is the ability to control the Redeye using a web browser. I've got a laptop sitting on my coffee table... I can control any device in my home by pointing Safari or Firefox at the IP of the built-in web server. If you have even basic web programming skills, it's a snap to put together a custom web page to control your home. Again, the Thinkflood customer support and documentation really shine if you're into this kind of tinkering. I was able to prototype my custom Android remote control application in a web browse before UPS ever delivered my new Android tablet.Amazon sent me a unit with a European power adapter. When I mentioned this toThinkflood support, they overnighted me a USA compatible adapter for free. Did I mention the exceptional customer service yet? :-)Easily one of the most fun and useful "toys" I've ever purchased on Amazon.
