I bought a brand new unit from Sears, unpacked it and tried to watch a DVD and TV but the video never appeared on the screen. I tried 2 different new HDMI cables but never got anything to show on my Samsung TV. I have a 3D Samsung TV but I was never able to get any menu or video to show on the TV.I also bought the Sony HD-T79 and it is a far superior product in design and performance. The Sony system is slow to start up but once its is up it works far better than this lousy product that costs $449. I paid $379 for the Sony system and am going to stick with it.I would not recommend this poorly made product to anyone, keep in mind I have a Galaxy SIII and 2 big Samsung TVs so am familiar with Samsung products.
